this is officially the first time i'm writing this thing in english, just for the sake of keiran, who is writing this with me. his finnish is still not at the conversational level, this week we've been learning about house work words. (Keiran: vasara, also i am shocked, shocked and amazed at what will transpire within these words, lets read on!) just to tell you about life after the holiday, everything's been fine. i've been wuite home sick lately for some reason, wishing I was there for Kannu's vuosijuhlat, people's birthdays, summer, meeting everybody and finding out how you all are doing, and things like that. or, well, wishing we were there. but it will pass, it's a good thing I have such good company here. we practically have the house to ourselves now, since the guys are back home for easter. the only other person here is quiet pete, and he's...well, quiet. but, moving onto our holiday :) we shall do this in multiple parts, since this website is so annoyingly slow, and its late, and we've been cycling today, therefore my ass hurts (a tradition for the easter period, I guess :P). I'm gonna put all of the pictures from the trip into facebook, if somebody wants to see more.

Our journey did not start exactly ideally, since we missed our flight...This is all due to National Express (damn that company, boycott them we say!), whose bus was 1,5 hours late. Luckily we got the last two seats to the flight next morning, and had to pay 'only' £100 extra. Perkele (and santana, as keiran says our second favourite swearword). So, the first night of our holiday was spend on the lovely Stansted airport.(Keiran: might i take a moment to say that this wasn't the first night we've spent at stansted, my grammer is impecable)

But, the next morning we landed at Berlin. The first day we spent looking at the sights, walking in parks and having the first taste of the german versions of our favourite beverage, beer. (Keiran: we also had a nap. Note, those words weren't moine but i will add this; not only were we napping in the day, i could swear i was dreaming about bears making me lunch. imagine that, bears).

enjoying the beer. Litre pints, ladies and gentlemen! Mahtavaa!

The second day was dedicated to the Berlin Zoo, and the woderful little polar bear Knut :) :) :) There were shit loads of people there, since it was only his second day out. Other wonders we saw included giant panda, rastafarian orangutangs (who were probably the most awesome creatures i've seen, says P), and gorillas. And another baby bear, who was not getting quite as much attention as knut. We also went to the flea market, where we got a cool pint glass, commemorating the uniting of germanies. Also the first thing we've bought together for our home in helsinki. which we will have in september. wait, actually, we have bought monopoly already before that, so nevermind. forget about that...513463.jpgknut!!!!!!!and some guy. his keeper, the lucky bastard. I wanna be the one cuddling the cute bear, damn it!

Next day was quite a busy one. First we went to KaDeWe, to see what the rich people like to by in Germany (Keiran: The slags, dictating is fun). Then moving on to Checkpoint Charlie, and the Wall. After the sights, shopping! (Keiran: empirialistic tit bits). Though shopping was not as easy as we thought, it took us ages to find decent shops, then after I had given up all hope, and was quite mopy, we found a nice shop, where I bought a pretty shirt with a picture of a rabbit-lamb. or something like that.

Looking good at the wall :) Aren't we good together, or what?
(Keiran: and to leave you with a final thought for this thrilling part of this particular epic: berlin was good, so is melted cheese on toasted bread, but i'll tell what isn't good; waiting for the sequel or nazis, i heard they were quite bad, who knew). That is to say, after this we left berlin, and embarked for prague, and we'll tell about that later. now to bed, good night, don't let the bed bugs bite (they actually exist!). giddy giddy goo
